PASSENGER DiSPLAYs and DRIVER INTERFACES

Škoda Transtech manufactures the new train cars for Jokeri Light Rail. DA-Group delivers the onboard systems, including passenger information system with displays, driver interfaces and camera-mirros displays.

As a completely new form of transportation in the capital region, Jokeri Light Rail line will be built between Itäkeskus in Helsinki and Keilaniemi in Espoo. The length of the line is approximately 25 km. The light rail line will replace trunk bus line 550, which is the busiest bus line in the Helsinki region. Its capacity is unable to meet the growing number of passengers.

Jokeri Light Rail will be implemented with the alliance model. This means that the client organization formed by the cities of Helsinki and Espoo will be combined into one organization, together with the planners and the implementers. The new rail line will be opened in 2024.
